The European Training Institute was founded in 2005 by Daniel Guéguen. Its mission was crystal-clear: offer high quality and high added-value executive/vocational training to professionals dealing with and engaging in the EU decision-making process. In the course of 5 years, ETI became the largest, private training institute on EU affairs based in Brussels, having trained thousands operating in the Brussels bubble, in Europe and beyond.
Vocational training is of all times, one could argue. But over the last couple of years the EU, its governance structure and modus operandi has changed profoundly and has become more and more complex. Not a day goes by that we at EPPA, do not receive a query or request for information to deliver training, ranging from training on the basics of EU decision-making for beginners or newcomers in EU affairs to sophisticated, tailored workshops on very specific EU policy areas and topics.
This has been the driver to re-activate and boost the European Training Institute (ETI) after several years in dormant state, on the basis of the successful recipe it was initially founded on.
All training and coaching sessions delivered by ETI are hands-on and operational, geared at delivering maximum added value to participants in their day-to-day activities. They are delivered by top lecturers who are EU Public Affairs practitioners and dispose of recognised pedagogic skills.
The sessions are fully interactive allowing participants to ask all the questions they wish and generating an exchange of views whenever possible. For this purpose, we tend to keep the groups for training relatively small (ideally maximum 15 participants). Other formats for training/coaching are of course open for discussion.
Participants to training receive specifically developed training material electronically and have access to our publications.
Located in the heart of the EU bubble, Brussels.
What better place to provide executive training and workshops on the EU than in its capital, Brussels, where the EU’s mix of cultures lives, breathes and shapes policies. A city where one cannot only learn about the EU, EU decision-making and advocacy but where you can taste it, see it, feel it. In order to deliver hands—on training, this setting brings theory to practice and allows for interesting meetings and exchanges with decision-makers and stakeholders.
The European Training Institute’s training sessions, workshops and coaching modules can be organised in-house at your premises in Brussels or abroad.
Beside our online courses, we also run training and coaching session in our offices 2, Place du Luxembourg. Our premises are fully equipped for training (including videoconferencing) and are ideally located in the heart of the EU district next door to the European Parliament.
